Why I'm standing

I believe the Nelson ratepayer is being taken for a ride and I feel I have the time and devotion to stand up and put a voice forward to slow the runaway freight train that is our council's exhausting of ratepayer funds. Year-on-year increased rates are not a solution when our incomes are stagnant. As a mechanic I am trained to fix things, and there is much to repair.

About me

I am a well-disciplined hard worker and I put in the time and effort needed in all I do. I feel passionate around issues relating to a clean, safe and progressive Nelson and feel I am needed in this time of economic instability. As someone who has worked alongside council contractors I have witnessed waste, theft and corruption relating to taxpayer money and I personally am disgusted yet motivated to sort this.

My priorities
  1. Control rate increases, which are becoming a means to an end at the hand of council open checkbooks. No more.
  2. Clean streets and no more filthy trucks dragging mud over our roads at our expense while they profit.
  3. Reduce pest presence, seagulls and bird waste around our food service areas.
