Why I'm standing

I'm running for re-election to Nelson City Council to continue putting community first. I'm passionate about keeping our city accessible, supporting small businesses and investing in core infrastructure that benefits everyone. Over my term, I've championed accessibility, strengthened local relationships and backed our sports and events sectors. I want to keep every voice at the table, ensure council decisions reflect our community and build a thriving, inclusive Nelson for current and future generations.

About me

I'm well-suited for this role because I bring hands-on community experience and a deep understanding of local needs. Growing up in a family that ran a successful business for over 40 years has given me a strong work ethic and practical insight into supporting local enterprises. I've invested in and backed community boards, helping them strengthen governance and thrive. I'm committed to using this experience to deliver results and a strong community voice on council.

My priorities
  1. Invest in infrastructure by building and maintaining facilities that keep Nelson thriving and future-ready.
  2. Support small business by backing local businesses to grow, create jobs and strengthen the economy.
  3. Put people first by always listening, engaging and being transparent to reflect residents' voices.
