Why I'm standing

I am worried about the affordability of living in our city and the level of dislike and distrust for our council. I want to restore trust in our council by listening to people and being as transparent as possible in its dealings. I want a council that works to solve issues while having a commitment to people's wellbeing and happiness. I want a council that offers common sense, and solutions to problems that people have.

About me

I'm a Christian and I'm honest. I've been self-employed for 33 years and I feel as a result of many of life's tough experiences that I have become a better and stronger person. I will battle for what's right and I will strive to deliver good services at a fair cost to ratepayers. I will NEVER forget that the ratepayer is my employer, and their needs are why we are in the positions we are.

My priorities
  1. Make rates and the cost of living more affordable in New Plymouth to everyone living here.
  2. Reduce debt and explore ways for council to make money to reduce the burden on the ratepayer.
  3. Stop the war on cars to restore business confidence and make life easier for motorists.
