Why I'm standing

When we put money before lives, our city loses its heart – homelessness shows that we are forgetting why we are here.

About me

I've survived homelessness, jail and hardship. A father and mother who didn't want me and them being an alcoholic to myself being whangai to Grand Aunty. I'm 43, with seven kids, three mokos, and lead Mana Mokopuna feeding 2,280 meals and clothing and giving health packs. I am here for those who need a voice.

My priorities
  1. Provide long-term solutions, not band-aids, to help people engage and transition into stable housing.
  2. Investigate why there are so many empty houses and the reasons behind this.
  3. Address why many mentally ill people are living on the streets through mental health and housing services.
