Palmerston North City Council
The Palmerston North City Council provides local services and facilities, such as public transport, rubbish and recycling, libraries, parks, and recreation facilities. It also makes decisions about building and planning, local regulations, and infrastructure, such as water supply and sewerage. The council is made up of 15 councillors and the mayor. Councillors are elected to represent wards (areas in the city). 13 councillors will be elected from the Te Hirawanui ward. This is a single transferable vote (STV) election, so you vote by ranking the candidates on your ballot paper. Palmerston North is a great place to live, work and play. This enables us to attract great talent to help the city thrive. We need to make good decisions now so that the future for the residents of Palmerston North remains bright and is full of opportunity for residents of all ages.

I have grown up in and around Palmerston North and have a strong connection to the city. I am a member of a number of community organisations and see first hand the opportunities and obstacles that the council provides to Palmerston North. With a strong governance background in a number of organisations I have the skills to deliver for the residents of Palmerston North.
My priorities
