Why I'm standing

As your councillor for the past six years, I've worked hard to deliver critical investment into core infrastructure, protect and restore our harbour, future-proof Porirua against the climate crisis, and balance the council's budget. We've made great progress – but there's more work to do. I'm standing for re-election so I can bring a responsible and future-focused approach to the council table. I need your support so I can continue to deliver. Vote 1 Josh Trlin.

About me

I'm the right person for this role because I bring energy, experience and a record of delivery. I'm passionate about Porirua, and I'm focused on planning for the next 30 years – not just the next 3. As an experienced councillor and committee chair, I know how to pull the right levers to get things done, and I have a strong track record of leadership and delivery on climate, infrastructure, environment, housing and workers' rights.

My priorities
  1. Invest in the future by improving infrastructure, increasing resilience and combating the climate crisis.
  2. Accelerate the restoration of Te Awarua-o-Porirua Harbour through riparian planting and wetlands.
  3. Balance the council's budget to deliver sustainable rates and long-term savings for Porirua residents.
