Why I'm standing

I am a long-time Laingholm local and fourth generation Aucklander with deep connections and love for our city. I have experienced our community's potential through working in arts and museums. I believe we are brimming with talent, creativity and natural beauty. I believe our potential is let down by disconnected planning and missed opportunities. I see the concrete toilet block in Titirangi as a symbol of what is going wrong – lack of recognition of place, and zero ambition and vision. I believe that together we can change that.

About me

I have a track record of bringing the right people together to make things happen. I have delivered successful and award-winning projects at prominent institutions including Auckland Museum, Te Papa, McCahon House, Going West Festival and Corban Estate Arts Centre. I will work for you with laser focus, using my extensive experience and connections. I do not give up. I will innovate, collaborate and apply pressure to central council and government to deliver your needs.

My priorities
  1. Commit to a bold arts and culture strategy that nurtures local talent and ensures access for all.
  2. Commit to re-activating the 2014 Local Area Plan for Parau, Laingholm, Woodlands Park and Waimā.
  3. Commit to transparent inclusive planning that mitigates climate impacts and improves wellbeing.
