Why I'm standing

42 years ago, my wife and I bought our house amongst the kauri on the South Titirangi Peninsula. We raised two children and now four grandchildren come to stay and play. We all enjoy the Waitakere Ranges and all they have to offer. Meanwhile, a career as Chartered Accountant, Financial Controller and Company Director has given me certain skills. It is time to use them for the benefit of our community.

About me

I have a very strong connection to the Waitakere Ranges. My family and I enjoy walking the tracks, the artistic communities and visiting local cafes. My weekends are spent trapping rats and possums, and working with environmental groups. My love for this heritage area will be reflected in the work I do for it.

My priorities
  1. Build resilience for people, property, roads, services and tracks.
  2. Protect the Waitakere Ranges Heritage Area and promote environmental groups.
  3. Ensure safe and sensible low-cost transport options for all.
