Why I'm standing

I'm running for the Whau Local Board because this is my home — I grew up here, live here, and I want to give back. Everyone and everything I love is here. I care about protecting our environment, creating opportunities for rangatahi, and building strong, connected communities where everyone's voice is heard. I want Whau to be a place we're proud of and excited to call our forever home.

About me

I will make a good elected representative because I am deeply connected to Whau. I bring leadership experience from youth, community and union organisations, and I know how to listen, advocate and get things done. I am committed to putting people first, giving rangatahi a voice, and building strong, inclusive communities that thrive. Currently there is no youth representation on the local board where almost 30% of residents are under the age of 30.

My priorities
  1. Put people first by empowering communities, especially rangatahi and ethnic minorities and renters.
  2. Protect Whau's environment, green spaces, waterways and biodiversity. Save the Avondale Racecourse.
  3. Create opportunities and a youth advisory voice for rangatahi where they can inform local policy.
