Why I'm standing

I believe delivering New Zealand and council biodiversity strategies cannot rely on community volunteers. The scale of the goals to be delivered is massive. Community groups that are well-organised with good governance and management need to be financially supported as volunteering is a luxury few can afford.

About me

I am the co-founder and Project Manager of the Tākaka Hill Biodiversity Group Trust. I am experienced in working with government, councils and community organisations. My focus is delivering an environmental programme of work including restoring and protecting native habitats where native flora and fauna can thrive, waste minimisation, and water conservation.

My priorities
  1. Restoring natural areas where native species can thrive is essential for human well-being.
  2. Community organisationsare financially supported to deliver biodiversity goals.
  3. Communities are supported to be resilient in the face of climate change impacts.
