Motueka Community Board

The Motueka Community Board represents your local community and advocates to Tasman District Council about local issues, including public transport and facilities such as libraries and parks. The board is made up of four members. This is a first past the post (FPP) election, so you vote by ticking the name of your preferred candidate on your ballot paper. I want to help improve the lives of the people in our community and I want to ensure local government decisions respect community aspirations and looks after the health of our environment.

About me

I am trustworthy, hardworking and empathetic. I am the Chair of the Motueka South School Board and have served on boards for many years. I have a career in environmental planning and education. I actively look for ways to contribute to the community. I believe strong, connected, resilient local communities bring health, wellbeing and happiness.

My priorities
  1. Investing in our young people and giving them a voice to express what they want for the future.
  2. Looking after the health of Te Taiao and fostering community restoration projects.
  3. Fostering greater use of cycling and walking for better health and reduced emissions.
