Why I'm standing
Having served one term, I want to ensure some continuity of important existing plans and projects and understanding of issues, into the next three years.
About me
Being retired, I have plenty of time to devote to community board activities. I have a reputation of being a good listener, able to take in various views on any issue and make a sound, considered judgement. My long experience in community group leadership in Motueka gives me understanding of governance and close knowledge of the local scene in the town I chose as my own.
My priorities
- Ensure that current planning and projects of Tasman District Council and the board continue to completion.
- Finish work on the planned new indoor swimming pool and landscaping around the new library.
- Work with leading community volunteer groups to support them in projects beneficial to the community
