Why I'm standing

My background in financial planning, asset management, project reporting, and budgeting and forecasting will help improve the council's financial planning and reporting systems for all ratepayers. I keep up to date with Palmerston North City Council's financial reporting. I believe there is a great need for a finance professional on the team. I am a Deloitte-trained finance professional, a member of both Chartered Accountants and Certified Management Accountants of Australia and New Zealand.

About me

I have first-hand experience of disability and many years of experience working with people with disabilities. My thorough understanding of the challenges faced and the support needed by people with disabilities means I bring an active voice for the community. I organise Hearing For Hope, a community organisation providing free hearing aids and advice.

My priorities
  1. Focussing on the Council's core services: roading and footpaths, water and the Council managed facilities.
  2. Robust financial planning.
  3. I support the Three Waters reform Programme.
