Why I'm standing

I am standing for council due to the fact that I am worried for my children's ability in the future to be able to afford housing or live close to family and connections with high costs of living, climate change and inflationary costs of supply chain items used for items all around us.

About me

I believe I have the experience to run. I have a background in housing and social policy and have been involved in many community and boards locally and rurally. I am passionate about changing policy to make sure decisions from local councils are balanced with challenges from climate change, resource management and infrastructure spending that will need navigation through tough future economic times.

My priorities
  1. Housing and providing long term rental tenure for people of all budgets and age groups.
  2. Using technology to improve infrastructure projects.
  3. Looking after local business growth but also trying to attract new talent and growth to the area.
