Why I'm standing
I have extensive leadership and governance experience. I have been a city councillor for three years and feel that I can continue to make positive contributions to create better outcomes for our residents. I make good decisions based upon the principles of democracy.
About me
I was a police officer for 44 years and was Palmerston North Area Commander for 10 years. I chaired the Palmerston North Safety Advisory Board for 9 years as Area Commander. I chair the same board now as an elected member. I also Chair the Methodist Social Services Board. What drives me is creating better outcomes across all of our community. Palmerston North is my home and my city and I am deeply invested in our future.
My priorities
- Advocating for sustainable growth; population, business and infrastructure.
- Advocating for community safety, well-being and inclusion.
- Advocating for equitable investment across our community.
