Why I'm standing

I am seeking re-election because our city deserves a strong, future-focused voice around the council table. Over the next few years, our city needs to make critical investments into housing, infrastructure, and protecting our environment. We need to build on our status as an education and regional economic hub, make land for homes more readily available, back our local businesses and improve our roading and water networks in ways that offer sustainable value to ratepayers.

About me

I am Palmerston North's youngest sitting city councillor, having worked as a parliamentary staffer, and as an adviser at the Ministry of Education. Prior to that I was locally employed in various roles. My experience in public services gives me skills in governance, relationship-building, policy analysis and project management. This stands me in good stead to add value to our city's local government.

My priorities
  1. Support local businesses, and minimise regulations and compliance costs for businesses.
  2. Advocate for more investment in our core infrastructure (improve road safety and our footpaths).
  3. Strengthen our emergency management preparedness and climate contingency planning.
