Puketāpapa Local Board

The Puketāpapa Local Board is one of 21 local boards in Auckland. The local board makes a plan for your area and decides on local issues, activities and facilities. It also oversees council services and facilities in your area, including libraries and parks. The local board is made up of six members. This is a first past the post (FPP) election, so you vote by ticking the name of your preferred candidate on your ballot paper. I believe that there is a higher need for representation of ethnic minorities and youth as that will help immensely in acknowledging the diverse voices that is in Puketāpapa and will definitely help in making Puketāpapa a better place for everyone to live in.

I have lived and in Puketāpapa for more than half a decade and that gives me the needed understanding of our local needs. I believe in fairness, equity, and the need for a wider representation for youth and ethnic minorities.

My priorities
  1. Aim for a wider representation of ethnic minorities and youth.
  2. Introduce measures to promote environment sustainability.
  3. Promote fairness, equity, and being the change that needs to be done.
