Why I'm standing
I grew up in Mt Roskill and call this special place my home. We didn't have the easiest time growing up, but through a great local school, we were all able to get university educations. I care about my local community, this power hub of multiculturalism and a whole heap of different people working together. I am proud of where I come from, and want to help others to have their say and realise their potential.
About me
I am a project manager and have been a public servant for over ten years, both in Auckland and overseas. My ability to see a project through will ensure that local projects in Puketāpapa are implemented properly, with people at the heart of what we do. I have worked in education, pandemic response, public transport and bushfire recovery. At the moment I have been volunteering for local food banks and helping the migrant and refugee community.
My priorities
- Half-price/fares-free public transport, to reduce carbon emissions, congestion and living costs.
- Empower local groups and businesses in their services to the community with grants and support.
- Protect our coastlines, waterways and green spaces in Puketāpapa for future generations.
