Why I'm standing

I believe that Taupō is the best place to live in New Zealand, but we are at a crossroads where we can stagnate through tired leadership and a lack of vision. With the insights of my clients, family and friends, I am acutely aware of the challenges and opportunities facing Taupō as it experiences rapid growth and changing expectations. Long term vision, accountability and an appreciation of what it takes to thrive is at stake.

About me

You can trust me to bring a fresh perspective along with an analytical mind, financial expertise, experience in budgeting/ forecasting and other capabilities right across the business and financial spectrum. These are qualities that I believe are currently lacking at the council table. There is value in having councillor who can assess a business case and apply business credentials and common sense to decision making.

My priorities
  1. Diversify the local economy with more business and less reliance on tourism.
  2. Make Taupō the most livable town in NZ by by attracting residents, not just holiday makers.
  3. Get central government to deliver for Taupō with more schools, better healthcare and more police.
