Why I'm standing

I believe that the Waitākere Ranges are a special taonga and deserve and require our special attention. I also am fiercely proud of our unique communities and I believe that council has a special role in supporting them in their aspirations. I also believe that art out west flourishes like nowhere else in the city and that special recognition of its importance is required.

About me

I am experienced. I was formally a city councillor and I am serving my fourth term on the local board. My legal background means that I have experienced a diversity of needs and requirements and aspirations and I believe that my legal skills are invaluable in working out how to make council function better. My aim is to make sure that the west continues to serve future generations the way it has served my family.

My priorities
  1. Make the west resilient to and ready for climate change.
  2. Support communities in their aspirations and desires.
  3. Ensure that the Ranges are protected and intensified areas are quality places to live.
