Why I'm standing

I love the area I represent and its communities and will continue to fight to keep the values that people enjoy. In particular, I want to protect the wilderness from sanitising and make sure services people need in their lives are provided from the public purse. Also care deeply about the environment which is under threat from pest plants in particular and want to make sure funding is increased to protect its health.

About me

My family has 90 years commitment to the Waitākere area and I am experienced in who does what and representing the West. I am persistent and don't give up. I am unafraid of authority and also do my homework to be well-informed about what I take up. I work hard and try to solve problems members of the community are having with council.

My priorities
  1. Protect the environment of the Waitākere Ranges from unsympathetic development and commercialisation.
  2. Make sure communities and community members get heard by Auckland Council.
  3. Fight for more open space and better developed parks to balance the compact city approach.
