Why I'm standing

I believe in a no-nonsense, enquiring mind with no political affiliations nor environmental issues to push make me a good contender. A willing listener, never shy in asking difficult questions and pursuing answers with a lifetime in building, farming and hospitality giving me a strong understanding of business and people and the hard knocks we endure. Considerable experience as chairperson, president and committee member of varying community groups gives me an insight into peoples expectations.

About me

Born and educated in Westport, what makes me a good representative is my practical approach to solutions and open dialogue with our community. Not always politically correct but always willing to learn and be corrected.

My priorities
  1. Campaign for the removal of Three Waters acknowledging infrastructural assets are ratepayer owned.
  2. Coastal flood protection and a practical approach based on historical facts not current modelling.
  3. Accountability and greater presence of regional council in the Buller district.
