Mayor of Hamilton

The mayor is the leader of the council. Their job is to promote a vision for the city and lead the development of the council’s plans, policies and budget. The mayor appoints the deputy mayor, establishes committees for particular topics, and appoints chairs for those committees. This is a single transferable vote (STV) election, so you vote by ranking the candidates on your ballot paper. Compare the candidates and their policies to decide who to vote for in the Hamilton City Council mayoral election.

Why I'm standing

I am standing because the world has become increasingly more evil with a two classes of society: the rich versus the poor. I am concerned about my son and future generations affected by so many issues being out of control. I believe in lowering the voting age to make more people responsible for the world we live in. Climate change, failed economies, drug use and alcohol are just a few of the issues affecting us.

About me

I am a deep thinker being an existentialist who wants to transform society. I believe in democracy, accountability, transparency and integrity. I believe in natural justice, families and the voice of the people. I also think we are due for a big wake-up call geopolitically with so many crisis situations going on around the world. It is time for a massive big clean-up.

My priorities
  1. Introduce responsible spending by auditing books and informing the people with action.
  2. Enable business development to create more money, jobs and a better economy for everyone.
  3. Facilitate community consultation through partnerships with all organisations and help them.
