Why I'm standing

I'm running because Hamilton is home for 30+ years, and I want to give back to the city that has shaped me. Serving as a first term Councillor has been a privilege, to represent our community and bringing a balanced, grounded perspective. As an independent, my motivation isn't about politics, but service, and helping Hamilton grow in a way that reflects the voices of its' people and instilling the pride we share in our city.

About me

My experiences have shaped the perspective I bring to Council. Studying Business, working in roles from a Scrap Metal Yard, a Hydraulic Engineering Company, Regional Council, and Parliamentary Services taught me the value of hard work, policy, and representing community from all walks of life. As Deputy Chair of Waikato Civil Defence, Community Grants, and Chair of Traffic Control and Dog Hearings, I've used my skills to listen carefully, act fairly, and serve with integrity.

My priorities
  1. Make council engagement easier, earlier and more inclusive to enable better community outcomes.
  2. Maintain existing infrastructure and streamline council processes to gain efficiencies with technology.
  3. Build strong partnerships to share resources, create efficiencies and deliver better community value.
