Why I'm standing

I have made a good life decision to commit to running as a candidate. It is a challenge to walk towards something bigger than myself. I want to build closer connections with others who stand for our community, and I know I have the resilience, professionalism and motivation to do a good job for my community.

About me

I am a good listener and intend to use that quality as part of a measured, fair and impartial relationship with constituents. I am comfortable with complex situations requiring a collaborative and team approach to make decisions with the highest good for the whole community as the desired outcome.

My priorities
  1. Protect local representation as a rural community as this holds us together and strengthens us.
  2. Promote council unity and collaboration with others as this will be critical to move forward as a district.
  3. Seize regional opportunities for investment and growth in all our Hurunui wards.
