Why I'm standing

During the last term HDC has embarked on a number of challenging, yet very exciting projects. I am driven to see this work through to completion and realise the potentially great gains for the people who live here. There is a job to be done.

About me

A current councillor, I now have the privilege of the experience and knowledge that comes with six years at the council table. As current chair of the operations committee, I am familiar with our current projects, strategies and policies and our challenges for the future. In repaying the community's trust in me over the past two terms, I believe I am well equipped and excited to contribute as an effective councillor over this next term.

My priorities
  1. Do the basics well. Achieve core business, infrastructure and services and operate within our means.
  2. Explore alternative revenue streams to be able to achieve more without further burdening ratepayers.
  3. Work with community to strengthen, enhance, beautify and financially secure our urban centres.
Current role
