The Albert-Eden Local Board is one of 21 local boards in Auckland. The local board makes a plan for your area and decides on local issues, activities and facilities. It also oversees council services and facilities in your area, including libraries and parks. The local board is made up of eight members. Members are elected to represent different subdivisions within the local board area. Four members will be elected from your area. This is a first past the post (FPP) election, so you vote by ticking the name of your preferred candidate on your ballot paper.     Provide local board entrepreneurship grants for access to markets to encourage innovation at the local level.

  • Support business associations and business improvement districts to deliver projects which make town centres more attractive to visit.

    Support parking for local businesses outside rush hour, so they can thrive. So families, elderly and people with disabilities have access.

  • Work with local businesses to allow them to thrive in our neighbourhood.

    Develop well thought out bus routes that allow businesses to continue operation.

    Work with businesses to promote the neighbourhood as a destination and desirable place to visit.

  • Encourage business success and customer convenience, by stopping the ridiculous removal of parking and by halting bike lane construction.

    Call a halt to all unnecessary roading construction around the inner city so that business can recover from several tough years.

    Oppose the bike lane over the bridge.
