Why I'm standing

Our local government needs to take the lead in actioning social justice initiatives, and as someone who is already working with numerous not-for-profit organisations to address inequities in marginalised populations and have built strong relationships and connections with our community groups, I will bring an experienced, diverse, and compassionate voice to the table. I work as a Researcher for the University of Auckland, and am also a graduate student majoring in Political Science.

About me

My lived-experience as a migrant and an ethnic young woman has motivated me to dedicate my life's work in philanthropic and public services. I'd like to narrow down the wider conversations Kiwis are having about race relations, gender politics, disability inclusion, climate regeneration, and other topics that are usually seen as a far-away global or national problem, and act on them in the local context. We can start addressing those issues from our own backyards.

My priorities
  1. Honouring Te Tiriti.
  2. Supporting accessible, compassionate, and socially inclusive initiatives.
  3. Advocating for climate justice as a human right.
