Why I'm standing

Ōwairaka needs a fresh voice on the Albert-Eden Local Board. Currently, the Local Board is deadlocked both ideologically and geographically; we need to focus on priorities where we share common ground. I'm passionate about positive and constructive discussion, environmental sustainability, and community safety, and I will offer a youthful yet mature perspective on decision-making processes.

About me

I recently completed a master's degree in management and continue to run my own tutoring business. My job requires social maturity, resilience, and good collaboration skills. I have the courage to ask tough questions and the humility to listen, learn and engage with others. I have a cultural awareness that lets me genuinely connect with people from different backgrounds; I speak Mandarin and Cantonese and am learning Te Reo Māori.

My priorities
  1. Support a community-led approach to environmental protection and restoration.
  2. Work with local business associations to support the vitality and vibrancy of town centres.
  3. Explore ways to simplify feedback processes to address our community's age and cultural diversity.
