Rodney Local Board

Warkworth Subdivision
The Rodney Local Board is one of 21 local boards in Auckland. The local board makes a plan for your area and decides on local issues, activities and facilities. It also oversees council services and facilities in your area, including libraries and parks. The local board is made up of nine members. Members are elected to represent different subdivisions within the local board area. Three members will be elected from your area. This is a first past the post (FPP) election, so you vote by ticking the name of your preferred candidate on your ballot paper.     Undertake a forensic accounting analysis and revisit our land zoning.

    Ensure Auckland City provides us with our fair share of equity so we can provide better services.

  • We will work to ensure community facilities and services meet the needs of our communities and keep up with the rapid population growth.

    Create community plans and participation and ownership of parks and reserves, track building and community-funded developments.

    Advocate for development contributions to be directed locally, providing core services to locals.

  • Consult with the community about their views and concerns regarding the proposed housing intensification of the Warkworth urban area.

    Advocate for changes and inclusions to the proposed district plan based on the communities vision for their rural and urban spaces.

    Advocate that intensification housing/developments require notified resource consents, so community are aware and can submit on proposals.
