Why I'm standing
I am passionate about our district, and believe it's still a bit of an undiscovered gem. It's time to change that. We live in a special place and it deserves all of us to embrace positivity and passion towards it. I believe we can take our town to the next level, and benefit the entire district by doing so. Clearer communication from council will foster a more positive and collective community.
About me
I've spent the past term in council learning the ropes and contributing on all issues that need the perspective of a worker, business provider, a mother and a heritage building owner. This next term, now that I've found my feet, I intend to increase my focus on to a more broad range of issues, and allocate even more time towards advocating on council for those that need a voice.
My priorities
- Find balance between loan funding forward work programmes based on central government policy and risk.
- Progress the Events Centre, so we end up with a facility we can afford, and be proud of.
- Push towards a council that embraces progress, by assisting through its consent and regulatory arms.
