Why I'm standing

I love Oamaru and Waitaki, and I want to see the district thrive by meeting the challenges and taking advantage of the opportunities ahead. I can bring both youth and experience to the council, and offer forward-thinking and energetic leadership, striving to achieve the best outcomes for the district and ensure the voices of ratepayers and residents are heard.

About me

Having worked in journalism for many years, and spent time at Parliament working in policy, research and communications and social media advisory roles, I've got to know local and central government well, and have a good understanding of the issues that matter to Oamaru and the wider Waitaki district. I am well-connected in the community and have built good relationships with a wide range of people.

My priorities
  1. Improving community wellbeing.
  2. Creating more opportunities for economic development and tourism.
  3. Clear communication and transparency.
