Why I'm standing

I am standing for the Greater Wellington Regional Council (GWRC) because I believe the region needs improved decision-making and efficient spending to meet current economic challenges. I am a born and bred Wellingtonian and love the city and wish to help make it a place that people are willing to invest in. I am committed to delivering achievable solutions grounded in practical action rather than ideology.

About me

My diverse career as a police officer, captaincy of the New Zealand Athletics Team, CEO and governance roles with charitable organisations, NGOs, and national industry bodies, I have developed strong capabilities in both strategic oversight and operational management. Currently, I work collaboratively with businesses and government agencies, with a particular emphasis on problem-solving. As a long-standing Wellington resident, accomplished athlete, and community advocate, I wish to work to ensure Wellington builds on its potential.

My priorities
  1. Work to continue to improve accessible public transport for all throughout the region.
  2. Review projects to ensure budget assumptions are evidence-based, preventing further cost overruns.
  3. Evaluate expenditure, identify areas for cost reduction and lower predicted rate increases.
