Why I'm standing

I wish to see the board work better and more constructively, not let personal or vested interests dictate decisions. We need to have a strong competent board willing to work and negotiate with council to see real progress in our area. Not a board that is intransigent, dishonest or malicious in its behaviour.

About me

I am a long term local, having lived in the area for over 20 years. I am connected with businesses and community groups and have a good appreciation of the issues we face to see the Devonport-Takapuna Local Board area move ahead positively. I am a good negotiator and am able to build relationships that generate positive outcomes. My work experience has given me a holistic view point when looking at issues.

My priorities
  1. Bring some sensibilities to the decisions made by the board and work positively and constructively.
  2. Work with council-controlled organisations and council to get better outcomes with roading, facilities and funding.
  3. Seek greater involvement of residents and the local board in building and resource applications.
