Why I'm standing

This is a critical time for the Otago Regional Council, with important decisions about public transport and the environment to make over the next few years. I don't believe the current council is working constructively towards solving these issues, and I want to change that, and to be an active voice for the land, water, and people of Otago.

About me

I am passionate about our environment, and have the experience to back it up. My research background is in ecology and I have been involved in a number of conservation restoration projects in Dunedin. I am an active member of the student community, writing for Critic Te Ārohi on a wide range of issues.

My priorities
  1. Improve the water quality and flow of our rivers so they are swimmable and full of life again.
  2. Improve bus services to provide for those who rely on them and to increase ridership.
  3. Adapt our urban and rural areas to climate change, to protect against future impacts (eg. flooding).
