Why I'm standing

I have been a fish and game licence holder for many years and am involved as a trustee for the yellow-eyed penguin trust. I have a genuine interest in the quality of our rivers and lakes and have unfortunately witnessed significant degradation over the years. I am also very keen to ensure the restoration and management of coastal habitats and the water quality and environment of the Otago Harbour.

About me

I have been involved in several community organisations over a long time. I am the Chairman of Presbyterian Support Otago an organisation that serves the people of Otago providing age care facilities and family support. I am also a trustee of the yellow-eyed penguin trust, a conservation organisation. I have professional qualifications as an accountant and director, I am a director of City Forests a Dunedin City Council owned company.

My priorities
  1. Clean water and a healthy environment.
  2. Sustainable economic development.
  3. Ensuring that the Otago Regional Council has the resources and processes in place to meet their responsibilities.
