Why I'm standing

I believe that our public service has lost touch with the hard working men and women of our region and our nation. Public service means exactly that, serving the people. Many of the decisions I have witnessed from politicians and local leaders appear to be born of hubris and influenced by outside bureaucratic and corporate influence. Our Nation, our regions, our cities and their public servants must be for the people.

About me

I believe that I would make a good elected representative because I am like many kiwis, a typical hard working grafter. Having completed trade training, then established several successful businesses and developments I believe that we all deserve opportunities to succeed. Having four children in various schools, clubs and churches I have connected with many and varied people of this region we are unanimous that change is needed.

My priorities
  1. Stop the land, resource and power grabs by central government.
  2. Restore local and national government to true democracy that supports the people.
  3. Remove policies and repeal decisions that have been dictated by non-elected bureaucracies.
