Why I'm standing

I'm committed to take the Bay forward through a future generation's lens. Growth is expected to sky rocket. I've never heard anyone state that where industry and population have grown, our natural environment has been enhanced. With this inevitable growth we need to ensure our bay remains plentiful for our mokopuna. We need to do better than we are doing. In a time of a biodiversity and climate crisis, I'm called to serve this community.

About me

I come from a management and leadership background, with much of my career in the non-profit sector. I was CEO of Tauranga Riding for Disabled and Regional Manager for the NZ Heart Foundation. I'm a leadership coach with Dale Carnegie and co-owner of our design and manufacturing business. I've a lifelong passion for nature and the environment underscored by my degree in zoology. I've lived in Tauranga with my family for 16 years.

My priorities
  1. Driving for long term thinking and inclusiveness, robust climate action and climate resilience.
  2. Ensuring clean rivers, ocean and more native species enhancing biodiversity.
  3. Supporting quality, sustainable living in the Bay - easy and equitable to get around.
