Why I'm standing

The major government lead reforms in Three Waters, resource management, climate change require significant attention in their development and implementation. While the reforms seem to lack any sense of integration and cohesiveness, they are happening and most will fall onto local government to make work best for generations.

About me

I am an experienced local government practitioner with a reputation as a safe pair of hands, staying calm under pressure and prepared to make the hard but right decisions. I operate by listening, thinking then acting. I stand for providing for today and planning for the future through community partnerships in cohesion with the council.

My priorities
  1. Continue to advance policies that create enhanced environmental long term outcomes.
  2. Address the failing and expensive Tauranga bus service that is not meeting the community's needs.
  3. Focus on the value for money proposition within the council organisation and operation.
