Why I'm standing

I am committed to a vibrant, connected community that looks after the natural environment and the people who live in it. I want to be a good ancestor and to live in a place where our young people feel that their hopes and concerns for the future are listened to and acted on, and where the knowledge and place of mana whenua is recognised and respected.

About me

I have the skills, energy and passion to be an excellent regional councillor. My background is varied, with experience in the corporate world, governance, not-for-profits and community organisations. I am an experienced communicator, community connector and leader, and would bring both a long-term outlook and sense of urgency to the role.

My priorities
  1. Waste no time in meeting the challenges of a changing climate, and ensure a just transition for all.
  2. Ensure cohesive management of water catchments, and sustainable water services infrastructure.
  3. Ensure collaboration between council, mana whenua, community and business so we all thrive.
