Why I'm standing

I believe that city leaders play a vital role in managing the impacts of climate change and decisions made now will have a huge impact on environmental and social wellbeing in the future. I don't think that enough thought is put into how children will flourish in high density urban environments or the outcome of allowing multiple minor breaches to planning rules. We need to be more focused on preparing for the challenges ahead.

About me

I am hard-working, thoughtful and collaborative with twenty years experience working as a publisher, a researcher and as a local board member influencing decisions so as to tread more lightly on the planet. Like all parents I am aware of the stakes and I will work to achieve a positive future. I have degrees in law and drama and my doctorate focuses on how cities can promote resilience and wellbeing through design and community engagement.

My priorities
  1. Support businesses and residents to halve carbon emissions by 2030.
  2. Encourage good urban design that enables biophilic mixed-use low-traffic walkable neighbourhoods.
  3. Restore the Leys Library and deliver great parks and places for people to enjoy, learn and connect.
