Waitematā Local Board

The Waitematā Local Board is one of 21 local boards in Auckland. The local board makes a plan for your area and decides on local issues, activities and facilities. It also oversees council services and facilities in your area, including libraries and parks. The local board is made up of seven members. This is a first past the post (FPP) election, so you vote by ticking the name of your preferred candidate on your ballot paper. Why I'm standing

I am standing for the Waitematā Local Board to serve our City and its people. I own my own business and have built my career in the iwi development, housing, health and property sectors. I bring a potent blend of strategic insight, local perspective and intelligence to the role. My background has prepared me well to be a positive voice contribute to the growth of Tāmaki Makaurau.

About me

The Waitematā area is a part of my tribal heritage and it has huge cultural significance for me. My cultural fabric tells me that we need to be prudent, we need to ensure that decisions made today will allow for a brighter future for those that follow. My background and values will guide me to look to the future whilst delivering for today. I am committed to the future success of these lands.

My priorities
  1. Taiao – restore and protect the Waitematā Harbour and our natural resources.
  2. Economy – supporting businesses and the economy to thrive.
  3. Housing – supporting the efforts around housing, housing affordability, urban development and density.
