Why I'm standing

I want to continue the work begun by the current local board and build on its achievements. I also want to ensure our assets, facilities and services are retained and not reduced because of budget deficits.

About me

My background is in secondary teaching and management in multicultural school across Auckland. I am currently chair of Whau Local Board, chair of the Waitākere Citizens Advice Bureau board and a volunteer at New Lynn Citizens Advice Bureau. These experiences have given me the skills and knowledge necessary to represent my community very effectively.

My priorities
  1. Retain community facilities, assets and services despite financial pressures.
  2. Improve public transport services and the maintenance of roads and footpaths.
  3. Retain and increase green space, especially in our areas undergoing intensification.
