Why I'm standing

I'm standing for grassroots community voices. As a committed community worker, I understand the challenges at ground level. I believe in working with people, especially around climate change, equipping our communities, and championing young people to stand on local boards. I believe I can bring a new perspective to the table.

About me

My background is in community development. In my experience as a Māori Liaison Advisor at tertiary level, I bring strong engagement between institutions, the community, and local iwi. I am currently managing the Kelston Community Hub, I coordinate the Whau Homeless Network, and I have a social enterprise empowering women. It's important to have the right skills and experience. I believe in making change for the good, people before profit.

My priorities
  1. Advocate for our grassroots organisations that do good in our community.
  2. Priority to our environment and cleaning our waterways, especially the Whau River.
  3. Advocate for young people in the Whau, and build a relationship with Whau Youth Board.
