Why I'm standing

I have been serving on the Whau Local Board since 2013. I would love to have an opportunity to continue the work begun by the current local board and build on its achievements. I would like to ensure that the new Avondale Town Centre, the new Avondale Library and Recreation Centre to be completed without delay. I would like to continue to advocate for a swimming pool in our area.

About me

I have a strong track record of being an effective advocate for diverse communities. I initiated the Whau Chinese New Year festival in 2015 and the Whau Pacific People's Plan and Ethnic People's Plan in 2018 while I was a member of the Whau Local Board. I am well connected with the diverse communities in our area and would like to be able to continue advocate for our strong and safe communities.

My priorities
  1. Continue to advocate and work in partnerships for strong, inclusive and safe communities in Whau.
  2. Advocate for the completion of the new multi-purpose (library) community centre and Whau pool.
  3. More green spaces and a healthy environment.
