Whau Local Board
The Whau Local Board is one of 21 local boards in Auckland. The local board makes a plan for your area and decides on local issues, activities and facilities. It also oversees council services and facilities in your area, including libraries and parks. The local board is made up of seven members. This is a first past the post (FPP) election, so you vote by ticking the name of your preferred candidate on your ballot paper. Why I'm standing
40 percent of Whau people are Asian and most of them are immigrants. They need good representation and I am keen to give back to the community and make a positive difference.
About me
I have no party affliation and only report to the people of Whau. I am passionate about serving the community and have been doing this for some years. I am a Justice of the Peace and the chairperson for the tallest apartment building in New Lynn.
My priorities
- Safer and more inclusive commnuity.
- Better public transport system. more feeder routes and introduce a new bus route to the airport.
- Help local business to grow.
