Why I'm standing

I am a local with a business that has operated in the city for over 70 years. I have seen Upper Hutt grow, nearly fail, and now grow even stronger. I now have the time to put back and help future generations respect and enjoy what I had growing up here. My advantage is to see things from a local and business prospective and help us grow.

About me

My knowledge and love for this city gives me an appreciation that to keep our identity it will involve commitment and determination. I stood for greater regional council in 2019 and although come second, learnt that local council can make a difference if a common sense approach to issues is taken. We need good governance and I feel that I can be a positive part of this.

My priorities
  1. Independent strong and a safe place to live. A supercity is not the answer for Upper Hutt city.
  2. Three Waters is another threat to our wellbeing. It will lead to worse outcomes than what we have now.
  3. Infrastructure and future-proofing is a must. Core services of council have to be adequately resourced.
