Why I'm standing

I believe Upper Hutt is still a city of untapped potential and can be an example of smart policies, compassionate approaches and thoughtful planning which is a model for others of which we can be rightfully proud.

About me

I am strongly committed to the community through my active involvement as trustee with the Upper Hutt Housing Trust and in the management team of St John's Church. In addition I am a professional accountant with my own business, and also have extensive experience overseas, which helps me value the many assets and advantages that we have here.

My priorities
  1. Housing – without safe, reliable and affordable housing we can't sustainably build community.
  2. Engagement – too many of our population do not feel connected, empowered or part of our community.
  3. Managed growth – we are seeing significant growth but our infrastructure is not keeping pace.
