Why I'm standing
I decided to run for office because I love Upper Hutt. It was where I grew up, and although I left for study and work, I always wanted to come back and represent my community. It is a great place to live and I want to leave Upper Hutt better off than when I came into it.
About me
I strongly believe I would be worthy of representing my community because I bring fresh perspectives as a young father with a young family, with a depth of experience as a successful software engineer who grew up in Upper Hutt. I believe I can bring that innovative approach to government and improve the representation of young people on the council.
My priorities
- Investigate whether the council should invest to found a bank to provide local financial services.
- Investigate whether the council should establish a social housing programme.
- commit to fix the potholes which plague our major roads across the city.
