Why I'm standing

I am proud to be part of a team that has made important decisions successfully steering our community through challenging times. Our carefully considered priorities for the city have focused on investment in infrastructure, business and recreation. I want to be part of the team going forward, continuing diverse development in our now vibrant city for which I have always been a strong advocate and effective ambassador.

About me

I am very passionate about Upper Hutt. I was city promotion manager and known by some as Mr Upper Hutt. I am a city councillor now and a team player with very strong networks in the Wellington Region. I am heavily involved in the community - Remutaka Lions, Mainly Acoustic Music, UH Piano Trust chair, Hutt Valley Sports Awards Committee and heritage activities Lions Clubs motto is 'we serve' and I follow it.

My priorities
  1. With a growing population we must ensure existing infrastructure is continually improved.
  2. Enable Upper Hutt to share in benefits of making the Wellington area stronger by working together.
  3. Improve council handling of environmental matters – rubbish, recycling, climate change adjustments.
